The First Bite
Introducing Hot Dish Digest, your place to go for cheap local food content
Food is delicious. My life depends on it. If I couldn’t eat food, I’d just die.
You’d undoubtedly say the same, absent extreme medical conditions or rare superpowers. But while the centrality of food to life is universal, the reality of food in life is utterly and unambiguously local and specific.
Hot Dish Digest is my local and specific take on food in the life of one Minnesotan woman in her fifties, living, eating, and working with food on a budget in the twin cities of St. Paul and Minneapolis. You’ll find recipes, reviews, and essays exploring all things culinary and tasty in my life, all with an eye toward quality, taste, and cost.
Go ahead and subscribe now. In theory, I’ll figure out how to use this platform and you’ll get my posts in your inbox or someplace useful. If you’re feeling extra fancy, you can pay me to do this. Either way, I’ll be here.
